Recommended Reading for Fibromyalgia

If you have fibromyalgia, or know someone who has this serious illness, you know it can be confusing. And that confusion can increase if you decide to read up on this disease.

To help in the search for reliable information, here is a list of books on fibromyalgia, which was created by Marilee Bomar, the assistant director of the Central Missouri Regional Arthritis Center in Columbia, Mo.

The list is a resource for reviewed reading materials. Check with local and online book vendors and libraries for availability of the books.

Alternative Treatments for Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
by Mari Shilly and Andrea Helm foreword by Paul Brown, M.D., Ph.D.
This book will help people who are suffering from fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. It also provides an alternative approach in tai chi, yoga and Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, massage and physical therapy, osteopathy, chiropractic and craniosacral therapy, psychotherapy, energetic healing and more.

America Exhausted (New Revised Edition)

This book discusses the possible role of nutrient and herbal formulations in helping individuals with CFIDS and Fibromyalgia restore their health.
